ISLAMABAD: The West Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) has established 2 medical boards for those killed and abraded throughout clashes between enforcement agencies and also the civil disobedience participants at the Red Zone.
A doctor of Pims aforesaid four senior doctors had been appointive in every board to avoid any complication or objection by the protesters regarding the postmortem and injury reports.“Both the medical boards won't solely analyse the character of wounds however also will get the reports regarding the bullets that killed the victims. 2 persons were killed from gunshots and one died when falling into a ditch throughout the violence,” he said.
Pims interpreter Dr Waseem Khawaja told Dawn that 257 abraded were admitted to the hospital - 136 men, thirty six ladies and 5 kids. Moreover, eighty police officers were additionally admitted to Pims, he added.
He aforesaid seventy three patients were still admitted for any medical aid whereas the others were discharged.
Meanwhile, Director Operations of the West Pakistan Red Crescent Society Ghulam Muhammad Awan aforesaid that the emergency response groups shifted over 153 abraded,
including four pregnant ladies, to Pims and Polyclinic. Besides, first-aid was provided to over 231 victims on the spot.
